Callie
Re: Callie
I feel that way too, Dot & Karen, such good people here and so understanding..esp of how we feel about our little furry friends. My life is better for knowing you all and sharing our ups and downs.

Re: Callie
Tambrey, I don't know you personally, but I wanted to say how very, very sorry I was to hear about your dear Callie cat. She is beautiful. I refuse to say "was" because I firmly believe they live on at the Bridge and wait for us. I love the pictures. I know how horribly painful these losses are. If you don't mind, I'd like to include a poem I got from Petloss.com. For me, it is applicable to both our furry and human loved ones. I hope it will make you feel a little better.
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you,
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed.
At the little jokes we shared together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort,
Without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means what it always meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

Tambrey, I know you have suffered several losses this year and I send my deepest sympathies.

My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.
