Meant to add my condolences... had a rather bad week myself.

I do hope the people involved in this tragedy are able to get counseling... especially of course the boy... and the woman driver who tried to stop... frankly, I do not buy this about the trucker claiming it was her fault: I've ridden in the cab of 18 wheelers and recall when nearly all professional truckers were "knights of the Road" and had firm principles... you can see sooo far down the road ahead... sounds to moi like this one may've been pushing his schedule to make time and not watching as he should've been... anyway, maybe he could use some counseling too. Sorry to sound off - JMHO. Hope all concerned are recovering OK.

Thanks....the husband had to go for an MRI on his knee tongiht....

the truck driver was charged and his insurance got them a rental car until they decided on a decent amount for the car lost...it was a 1997 Malibu that they paid $1500 for 2 years ago...insurance gave them $2000 for it....

HUbby is still not back to work yet so still racking up lost wages etc...medical bills and possible surgery on his knee and MORE time home...

Jackie has become a permanent member of their family....the girl they were watching her for decided to not come back here after taking care of her mother's funeral arrangements and things out in Arizona and called to ask if they would mind giving Jackie a home....

She does not talk much of how the children are doing....so I would venture to say they are handling things okay....personally, I too would go for a few sessions at least to talk anything out...I hope she did, but I don't think so....
