Parvo Kitten?
Parvo Kitten?
Can any1 tell me what the symptoms of parvo in a kitten are? I think my kitten might have it(or that's what a friend said that had a kitten with parvo says), so could some1 please help me on what the signs are for a kitten with parvo? Thanx!
Re: Parvo Kitten?
Cats don't get parvo, parvo is a canine enteritis, mostly in puppies. What you are probably thinking is panleukopenia, technically, in old veterinary text, it was referred to as a strain of parvo, but that term is no longer used for felines. Instead, it is feline panleukopenia or distemper.
In any event, you need to get your kitten to your vet ASAP, and not a minute later
The symptoms are vomiting, runny or watery diarrhea with blood, unable to eat or drink, hanging head over water dish, disorientation, lethargy, fever, obvious signs of severe illness. You MUST get your kitten to the nearest emergency vet right away for agressive treatment. Without treatment, it is fatal.
Go NOW please.
