Sorry guys, there may be no captions this round. Poor kitties are confined to a very large crate and have had to stay there. Before Razzeratz started running my check book to the ground we had planned on getting an ac for their room but that all got put aside because of the huge vet bills I have with Razzeratz and not knowing how much more I will be needing to spend on him.
I'm hoping by mid month in August I might be able to get a real cheap one but right now the spare room door should remain open so they can keep cool.
The other reason they're in the crate was because they didn;t much care where they pooped and peed. They are the sweetest little guys and I am letting them out in pairs to stretch their legs periodically and I put them back in the crate before they decide to do whatever wherever.
Between Razzeratz and some other stuff I've had going on here, I wish I had more time to devote to them. But they are doing very well. They tested negative for FIV/FELV and will be up at Petco this Saturday for adoption. Wish them luck. I will try to get at least a few more good shots of them before Saturday.
Thanks for asking about them....they are such fuzzy little purr machines...
And for those of you interested in the quack vets I've been posting about, here's the latest.....the rescue group scheduled them for the testing and shots this week. I bought 3 collars for 3 of them....I mapped out on paper and who's who starting with name, *beep*, description, collar color or lack of collar. The two without a collar listed Amaretto-male-larger white patch on chest, scant white patch on lower belly, no collar and Chianti-female-smaller white patch on chest, some white on lower belly, no collar.
After they did the bloods, the tech (not the mouthy one) came out and told me they should all be wearing collars because they couldn't tell the two without a collar apart. I remained calm. I lifted the one out of the carrier. It was Amaretto. I showed her, according to my chart, the "larger" white patch on the chest, the scant whtie patch on the lower belly. Then I lifted his tail and explained to her that, "These are testicles, and this area here is his penis. That would make him a male." And I pointed to male on my chart.
I put him back and took out Chianti. I said, "This is a smaller white patch on chest and see she has some white on her lower belly. ' I then lifted her tail and said, "And rather than having the testicles and penis that Amaretto has, this slit indicates a vagina, making her female." And I pointed to "female" on the chart.
I then went on to say, "If you still had further doubts you could have just brought one out and asked me."
She went back from whence she came with her tail between her legs.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie
