My cat 'irl', is almost 4 yrs old. On Saturday I noticed that she wasn't walking around well, she doesn't have much balance and she is stumbling around. I noticed that she had something on her front paw, don't know what it was, so I washed it off and then let her be.
I did notice that on sat morning that she had thrown up twice, once food, the other just fluid. I let her out that night so that she might be able to eat some grass to maybe help flush her system.
now this morning she is weaker than yesterday. I watched her shake her head and then fall over. she is having a hard time getting on to the bed, and basically just falling off of it to get down.
something that she's doing now, is hiding in paper bags, something that she has never down before. she just wants to basically lay down on top, or prefers to get inside them and just lay there.
she did have more stuff on her paws this morning, washed off, yet she isn't cleaning herself at all.
i have put food and water in front of her and she seams to eat a bite, then just lays back down. i haven't noticed if she's drinking or not.
i had a cat about 25 yrs ago that got lock jaw, and the vet said to give her baby food. irl can open her mouth and chew so it's not lock jaw, yet is this something that i might try to hopefully get some food into her? i've tried canned moist food, yet she just turns her head up at it.
i know that i should get her to a vet, yet i haven't been working since the first of the year, so i have no money to get her help. is there any programs from vets that give a reduced rate? my location is st. paul, mn

Re: my cat is- not eating/falling down/not cleaning
You MUST get her to an emergency vet, RIGHT THIS MINUTE! You have no idea if this is a fatal toxin of some sort, or organ disfunction, why wait around to find out?
You don't KNOW what the "stuff" on her paws is? Don't you know where she's been? Letting her outside to get into toxins is making the situation worse (hericides on the lawn, toxic plants, etc). What is the "stuff" on her paws, you need to identify it!
Most vets will work with you toward payment arrangements, but it would serve best if you left a sizeable deposit on the services, they have to make a living too. Ask a friend or family member for help, borrow a credit card and pay it back later, sell something of value, whatever it takes, where there is a will, there is a way.
You must understand that the symptoms you posted are SERIOUS, and if she doesn't get veterinary help RIGHT NOW, it might be too late. No internet message forum can tell you how to proceed, only a VET can with exam, testing, treatment.
GO NOW.

Oh, Chad, please find some way to get her to a Veterinarian. Traci is so right in saying she needs a Vet NOW. Can you borrow from someone? You can google Care Credit to see if you could qualify. I am a believer in the saying "where there is a will, there is a way."

Did you get your cat to the vet? What did they say - please let us know as your cat sounds very ill indeed and needs medical attention asap.
