Remember my last batch of kittens? I now have the mama and s

Post by Auntie Debbie »

My rescue group helped out this family last round with the kittens but insisted mama be spayec once he kittens were gonre and her milk dried up. Never happened and shre got out...again...and guess what? yep in about 3-4 weeks she will have more kittens. The family agreed to temporarily let them (meaning me) have her now, while she's nursing and while she's spayed and recuping.
She's a very sweet little marble tabbyish kitty. Rigt now she's very scared in her new surroundings but will purr if you hold her for a while.
I habve the son's email an their cell phone number so I can keep them appraised as to how she's doing. I will certainly be sending them lots of pics.
Spreaking of pics, once she's a bit more settled in I will take some pics of her. Meantimre I'll be checking in on her often.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

Gee Debbie...that is something. Did all the other kittens get adopted? Looking forward to seeing the pics of the momma.

I have to ask, why would a rescue group agree to sponsor/raise new kittens for a family who clearly has no intention of being responsible? Is the rescue group giving them and the momma cat back once the kittens are raised/weaned?

If this were a family in financial crisis, I'd be alittle more forgiving, but the irresponsibility worries me.

Mom Paws, yes the four kittens did get adopted, in pairs, by some wonderful people...both families had my full approval.

Traci, the group took the cat from them so I could have her and the babies here. After they are adopted, she will be spayed and then returned to them. They're not financially endowed it seems or really up on current cat care stuff. The group and I will be educating them. In their own way they really are trying. It is their cat and they were willing enough to lend her to me for the sake of the upcoming kittens and then having her spayed.

Anywy, she's finally settling in very nicely and is a very affectionate girl. She finally ate, and ate well this afternoon when I went in to loay down with her...seems she likes the company and was out and about quite a bit...no more hiding.

Thanks for filling me in, Debbie, much appreciated!

She is one gorgeous beauty, you should name her Carmel (but I suppose the owners already have her named), she has such striking colors!

Also, keep a couple of those pics on hand, they are excellent educational photos for those not knowing how to tell if their cat is pregnant

Carmel, LOL! Traci, you and your "C"'s!!!!!! The owners have already named her Nanceen. I'm referring to her as Nanceen and the Tummyknockers!

She has a regal look with that thin face, but Debbie...is she a little underweight (or am I just used to my little chubby Angel) ?

MomPaws, she's actually a petite cat, but I agree she probably is a little unerweight. Her owners are in serious need of a how to manual on cats and haven't been feeding her appropriately, especially considering she's preggers. I am infusing her with kitten food and hope she will put on a little weight before she blows.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie
