When I first brought Jackson inside, he slept like a rock and for hours at a time. I guess their fight/flight reaction is at rest knowing they are safe and it's their bodies way of catching up with much needed sleep.

I'm so happy they've transitioned well together in less than a week. Izzy must be thrilled to have a playmate.

Definitely. I really think Izzy is happier. She still doesn't come to ME to cuddle as much, but she's always interested in playing with Emmy, and if she's standing somewhere and I walk by and pet her, she doesn't sprint off. I'm pretty sure the sprinting off was "come chase me!" but I'm a human and if I sprint through the house, something's liable to get broken... most likely me!

Oh my goodness... can it be a month from now? I can't wait to move into the new house where there's more room, because an 800 sq. ft. apartment is NOT enough for this cat. She's running around and just clearing EVERYTHING off of every horizontal surface because she just doesn't have enough room to run like she wants to. She's wearing me out! I'll do interactive play with her for a while but she's the Energizer Kitty -- just keeps going and going and going... this is what I get for feeding them good food, isn't it? Izzy was playing with her for a while, but she's worn out and is hiding under the dining room table.

Cinnamae is a year old already and still zooms around the house, enjoy this time because too soon, they grow out of the zoomies.

Dolly will be six this month and she still does the zoomies, not as often but once or twice a week. She sleeps more than she use to and tends to want to stay closer to me, with an occasional jump in my lap, but most of the time just somewhere close.
I have really enjoyed the pictures, she is beautiful.

I have a flying cat.

Emmy likes to get up a full head of steam and LAUNCH across the living room. She'll fly inches in front of my face, right at eye level. This is startling when you don't see it coming!

Well, she got a little over-exuberant this morning, flew a little too far, and bounced off the sliding glass patio door. I thought for SURE she broke her neck or something! But she hopped right back off and ran around the house for another go.

Just a few more weeks until we move. Then the girls will have more room to run around and I won't have to worry about them giving themselves concussions.

slvrwhispr, please keep a close eye on her, even though she appears fine, a blunt force like that could cause sprains and injury and may not be evident for days later....watch her close for any signs of head/neck/shoulder/front legs or back problems ok?
