Goodbye, Sweet Sparky
Could you please send prayers and loving wishes to my Sparky doggy on his trip to the Rainbow Bridge?
My sweet boy suddenly developed pulmonary edema (fluid) around his heart (of gold) last night. He has had a heart murmur, as well as Cushings Disease, for some time. A few days ago, his rear legs became paralyzed (although the Vet didn't think the Cushings was responsible). Things went downhill from there. He wouldn't eat or drink and just laid on the floor.
I tried to tell him to "keep the faith" - that I had purchased a "doggy wheelchair" on eBay for him. But nothing worked. He started to have problems breathing, and I rushed him in to our vet at 12:00 midnight. She tried her hardest to help Sparky. At first, he seemed better. But then he started to have labored breathing again.
My sweetheart pooch just faded away before my eyes. I couldn't let him suffer, as much as I didn't want to let him go. I prayed and prayed that Sparky could leave this world at home, but my prayers were not answered. So I had the heartbreaking task of taking him in to the vet to be put to sleep.
Sparky was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest dog you'd ever want to meet. He never hurt anyone or anything, and everyone who met him (adults, kids, other dogs, our cats) loved him.
I just lost my beloved Buster kitty on July 22nd - less than 3 months ago. I am numb with pain. But I know Buster was there to greet his old buddy, Sparky, at the Rainbow Bridge. I know that Sparky is now healthy and young, like Buster, and that they are playing in the sunshine, grass and flowers. How I wish I could be there too.
Thank you for any prayers and loving thoughts you can send for my Sparky. He deserves them (as did Buster).
Sue (and only 2 Kids Left)
My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.

Sue, am so sorry, I feel like crying just to look at him..he is so sweet. Now Honey is there to meet him and give him puppy kisses. I know just how bad you feel. You have prayers and know you did the right thing. It takes courage and a lot of true love to do that, I know.

Weeping for your loss, dear Sue... It is so hard to let them go. Please be comforted by knowing you are as loyal a friend to Sparky as he has been to you, and that the two of you will meet again in that sunny space beyond earthly time... the Rainbow Bridge or whatever it is called in the language of our beloved pets... I can see them all so clearly!

I'm so sorry Sue. You're description of Sparky lets me know how very much you loved him. I understand too much how hard this is.
