Maine Coon cat, Siamese Mix at Ga Kill Shelter, Help!

I found several beautiful cats today at Clayton Co Animal Control. Please help if you want a cat or know someone who does or know a rescue group, these adoptable cats do not have much longer, no o ne seems to know about them. Maine Coon cat named Benton, id#085265, seemed very friendly and responsive, held since 8-06, but may be given only a few more days

Siamese Mix, id# 086240 mostly white with light coloration around eyes, very tame, I petted her, thought she was especially pretty, due to die tomorrow but given a few more days.

Two Kittens of the Siamese Mix cat, Id# 086240 and 085805 seemed to be 3-4 weeks old approximately, very very light solid orange in color, should become beautiful kittens, due to die tomorrow but Ron said he would probably give them a few more days, maybe until Friday.

Several alert, pretty gray and white tabby kittens, approximately 2 months old, seemed very healthy, WILL BE PUT DOWN TOMORROW MORNING, Tuesday, unless someone takes them, he said if interested to call today, the id # of one of them is 086271.

Do you have an account on Petfinder you could post on their bulletin boards???

Are there no rescue/adoption orgs nearby who can take them in/foster until homes are found? Even contacting a breed rescue might help!

I have tried posting on petfinder, they did not enter my post under animals for adoptions, not sure, they have entered my posts underder found animals before.

I have talked to rescue organizations until I am blue in the face. The best I have done is that if I personally foster the Maine Coon one will eventually take him--no interest in the beautiful sweet Siamese Mix. I could not keep two. There were others, probably put down this morning.

Will try to get the Maine Coon tomorrow, hope I can then manage for several weeks with him and everything else, wish me luck.

Again, I know folks in Gerogia read your bulletin. Does anyone know a person who will save the Siamese Mix tomorrow (wed.) or Thursday? PLEASE HELP.

Good news after all--RescueCats is taking the Maine Coon, if I foster for a few weeks. He seems to be a truly wonderful cat, I am supposed to be keeping him now in isolation. Hope he does okay. And, I think and hope that another rescue organization is taking the Siamese Mix and her kittens. Will let you know. Clayton Animal Control has other nice cats, including a spayed Siamese that I hope have a little time. If you live in the Atlant area, please try to save a life if you possibly can.

If you have a chance to commend RescueCats, please do so. They already have so many. Also, commend Clayton County Animal Control for keeping the Maine Coon for a month.

Of course I don't know the area, but just by doing a search, there looks like several rescue groups, and no-kill shelters in the area, even the atlanta humane society in the same vacinity?

Bad news--the Siamese Mix was NOT rescued, she may then be put down tomorrow or she may have another day or two. The person who I was told wanted her did not want her, was veven angry that I had asked that the cat be held for her to view. Traci, I did do as you suggested, also just emailed a Siamese rescue group. It may be too late, tho.
