Hi everyone,
I know it's been a while since I've posted and Mom has been very negligent too, but I really do need some good vibes because I'm not feeling all too terrific.
Mom caught on quick too. Last night I kept going in the litter box and pretty much just sitting there. Mom knew something was up because I usually like my privacy and I wouldn't budge even though I knew she was lurking about. Mom was really worried for a while that I may have been blocking, but I felt like I had to go but nothing would come out....just a few drips here, a few drips there. Finally I did enough drips and a small puddle to convince om that the Emergency Vet wouldn't be necessary. For about 45 minutes between dripping I'd lick you know where right in front of Mom. And who says cats don't let on that there's something wrong? Ha! I couldn't be more obvious if I dripped on her foot! I even let her put a cup behind me to try to get a sample, but we couldn't time it right. I'd get in and go and she'd follow in with the cup, but by then it was too late and I'd just sit there wanting to go, but nothing.
In fact once Mom went into the living room, I followed here there and settled in for the night. I only got up a few times, and again in the morning; I was no longer obsessing about it.
And sure as God made hairballs, the next morning I was hauled off to the vets. Without a sample the vet went along with Mom's notion that I have a UTI. She also said that my bladder was pretty empty so Mom stopped worrying about me blocking, but a sample was impossible to get.
Then I had this thing stuffed up my butt and was told my temp was just ever so slightly above normal, which was probably due to heat and stress. And then I got a needle stuck in my leg that had azium for inflammation.
Mom thinks she's giving me some Baytril later. After the day I had and all I've been through, just let her "Make my day!"
Mom says she's still going to try to get a sample because she wants to know if I have crystals or stones or whatever. We'll have to see about that though.
I hope everyone here is doing well, and up till now we all have been doing just great. Give all your kitties a big kitty kiss for me. I'm off to take a much needed nap now.

Oh poor Sals!! Khanada says she sends her sympathy...she had to spend the night at the on Monday and she had to have a tube put down her throat to clean her tummy out So she definitely sends her sympathy. Gizmo says he knows what you are going through and thanks goodness he hasn't suffered in a while. He says peeing in the sink will always get their attention Hope you feel better soon

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I'm feeling a bit better today and I'm not in the box 50 times an hour or needing to lick you know where! Mom got the pill stuff ready for me last night and even though it's been four years since I was last pilled I still remmember. So when Mom came to get me I was already hiding. Who says we're dumb animals? I was already hiding by the time she got the cap off the bottle. She nabbed me later on though. Tonight I decided not to hide and to just get it over with because Mom promised treats again. She kept her word too....she really is trying to help me get better.
I'm so sorry Khanada has been at the vets!!! I'll have Mom read the posts about that. I know Mom really like the way she looks. And I hope she'll be better real soon.
And thank Gizmo for the kitchen sink tip. Though Mom caught on real quick when I kept doing the box and then coming out and licking myself in front of her repeatedly. I even let her try to get a sample...usually I stop what I'm doing if I so much as see her pass by

You know, Sals, your mom is a pretty smart gal! She has an eye on you, so you are certainly being taken well care of. You be sure and give her a huge kiss and headbutt. Nina says 'hi' and she thinks you're cute. We are certainly thinking about you and hoping you get well REALLY FAST. Love, kk

Thanks kk. I'm feeling a bit better tonight...well so far anyway....'cause Mom hasn't nailed me with the pill yet. Last night I was still feeling a little off, but this morning I woke up feeling alot perkier. And so far tonight I'm acting more like my old self again. Tell Nina I said Hi too. And I'm sending kitty kisses to all of you.

Mom's trying really hard to catch me in the box. She got me once but I was already done. She hasn't even seen me licking you know where since yesterday morning. That night before vet day, I tried so hard to give her a sample but she was always too late. Mom's very concerned about crystals and all too. Even at the vet place she wanted them to get a sample but the lady said my bladder was pretty empty. Well after all the trips I made to the box I should hope it was empty, even though it didn't feel that way!!! Mom says she will continue to try to get a sample though.
Vet lady says this could even be a one time deal adn we're both hoping she's right.
I'm even being really good about letting Mom give me my nightly pill. I figure she's only going to catch me eventually anyway, so we may as well just gewt it ovewr with. At least I get some treats afterwards.
