Re: Tripod ~ Updated with Pictures 08-09-08

Post by Tambrey »

Tripod's first movie venture....it is not long....nothing too exciting...and please IGNORE the laundry baskets in the hall...I am off work for SIX days (well, 4 of them are gone now) and I have been digging into things that I have been putting off...making messes to clean messes....

Tripod does not meow loud...he never really has...he sort of "whispers" when he meows...even when he was growly and hissy...he has never been very vocal....

anyways.....Tripod getting more adventurous...

He has made it down the stairs again today....will NOT venture into the living room yet....if he does not by tomorrow, I will just pick him up and bring him in myself....like it or not!!

Well....Tripod, as you can see in the short video, has been venturing out more...he was even chasing and playing with a fly earlier...I did not have the camera then...but he was crouching...stalking...then scooting after it to try to catch it....then would turn his head jerky like they do when looking for it...then off down the hall again!!

He looks great...healthy coat, clear eyes - must be all that good food and love. And he's getting around good. Is it hard to post a video on utube?

thanks...we still need to work on the DRINKING WATER THING  but he is really starting to mellow out...earlier today I left the French Doors open so the others could come visit him if they chose to, since he did not want to come into our part of the house...Munkie came into "his bathroom" and was quite put out that someone else was in there...hahaha....Munkie puffed up and hissed...Tripod just laid there on his back watching Munkie like he could care less....so that was good...

no, it is not hard at all....you just need to set up an account then follow the directions to set it up....

just have the video saved somewhere on your system....it has to be less than 10 minutes or 1024MB in size....then click on your account and new video upload....create your title and description....browse to find the video and it uploads.....

Hmm, I don't remember you mentioning that eye....other than a potential URI. Is the discharge clear or discolored? Is he eating more now? More interested in food?

Well, I noticed just how well he's doing by his navigating the stairs, he's doing fantastic in that regard!

it is just a clear weepiness...not sticky or causing his eye to stick closed or anything....almost like he is crying on occasion :(
I am just thinking that if it is the potential URI, then that is the cause...

But then....they have been moving corn at the grainery and EVERYTHING is COVERED in corn dust...so maybe that is irritating him?

he is eating fine...dry kibble was all gone, and he eats the moist with the Clavamox right up...so his appetite is good...

I wished I had the camera today when he was chasing the fly....and when he was playing on Ghost's pillow...it was in the hall and he would run from the bathroom, sort of jump onto the pillow and dig in while it slid down the hall a few inches...then jump off...come back into the bathroom, run and do it again...like he was enjoying the slide down the hall on the pillow!!

Awww, that sounds so cute! It sounds like he is acclimating very well!

The corn dust, could be. But, keep a close eye on it and try to determine when it is weeping the most, like time of day, during or after a meal, in a certain room, etc. If it continues, even despite the antibiotics, you really should get him rechecked for that,...the vet can check and do a quick dye test (painless procedure) to see if the cornea is scratched or a foreign body that might be able to be flushed out. Even a prescribed opthalmic ointment might help, depending of course, on what this is.
