Q is a very special cat indeed. But then, they're all a little special. ;)

Well, that's true of course... but it just seemed odd - kinda spooky - to me that of all the many times Q cat has hopped up on the table next to me, this is the first time something on the laptop screen has caught his attention... like Izzy was sending us a message. One of those moments when we anthropomorphize in spite of ourselves, right?

I think they understand and see more than some people give them credit for.

My Cassidy watches tv, but not all the time, certain shows (and music) do spark her interest, she likes the same kind of music her mommy likes. Most of the others could care less about tv, but I've known since the beginning Cassidy exercises her "intelligence".

I've seen similar traits in all of my cats, and most animals in general. But, I've also seen them act certifiably retarded as well, just like humans.

Those are cute pics of Q!

Munkie is so funny.....maybe because he was reared more by me than the others...he LOVES the bathroom...his haven...he goes there every chance he gets and rubs his face all over everything....rolling all over and purrrring up a storm....
Then he will come into the bedroom with us...roll and flop all over us, then grab the blanket and proceed to suck and kneed until he wears himself out and falls asleep on his back in the crook of my arm....

He also LOVES to play Run...Run...Run with Sammie....our doxie.....
When Sammie comes in from outside, he always has to TEAR around the living room and dining room...back and forth in loops around the tables...as soon as Munkie realizes Sammie is doing this, he will jump onto the coffee table in the living room, and when Sammie comes around again, Munkie jumps off and is off in hot pursuit behind Sammie, sometimes jumping over him from side to side as they run in loops until both fall panting to the floor...

You HAVE to get that on video, Tambrey. That sounds hilarious.

This is why I want another cat so bad. The antics of two cats are far more entertaining than the antics of one. Once I can actually afford it...

I tried to one day with my cell phone...the only video capture device we have right now, but it turned out too dark to see anything :(

I think you are absolutely correct. I should show the video to Willow...she's sitting here on my lap!
