Aww, thanks Lisa. I am enjoying it, mainly because I've never done a real garden before (except veggies and stuff), I can't even keep a houseplant alive  The cats really love it, especially when the neighbor cats come to visit....the french doors don't have screens on them (yet), but the other doors do, so they can "talk" to the neighbors, LOL.

That is just so spectacular! It's so serene I wouldn't mind lounging on that bench myself! Great job!!

Ha, thanks ladies! Cleo, do you mean the little kitty bench or the one on the deck? LOL, the kitty bench is just a tad unstable, since it's three pieces. But, you're welcome to try!

Tambrey, remember when I told you that fuschia was on it's last leg? It's bloomed once more since then, go figure! Right now it's looking rather pathetic again, so Master Gardener can have it if he wants, it seems to respond to just.....water.

Is it in sun or shade? They prefer to be in more of a shady area...a bit of morning sun and that is about all they can stand...

funny how plants tend to respond to water :?

Yeah, it IS funny, isn't it? ROTFLMAO!

It gets a little morning sun, but mostly shaded throughout the day. I water it enough to see it's draining, each day or at most, every other day (I do the watering in early morning or evening). But, it's been sooooooo hot here too, dry and hot, so might that have something to do with it?

Oh, and the astilbe the deer ate, the top hasn't fully recovered, but two blooms came since then, and they're pink, woo-hoo, who'd have thought I'd get so excited about plants...

well....what do ya know....that deer did you a favour and just pinched it off for you :D

My brothers LAUGHED at me when I decided to go for a Hort degree, because I have no houseplants....I kill them....and my yard is a jungle of weeds and debris...but bit by bit we are working on taking the yard back...and I do have ONE houseplant...a safe one for cats...on the coffee table...it looks sad because they love to chew on it....my mom is not happy because she bought it...but it keeps growing new leaves from the middle!!

Sure, good deer, good deer, I probably shouldn't tell you what other mishap occured, it involved K2kitty and one of the catnip plants.

I love plants that seem to keel over and just keep coming back. Like the fuschia, LOL. Can't tell from your pics you have any stray weeds, but I'd say you have a super nice garden and what a variety!

That's what I'm waiting for. With any luck, they won't get winter-kill, will come back and be bigger, stronger, faster.
