The big tease

And why I wish more people would keep cats indoors. This one loves to lay there and taunt my dogs...

That's a cool pic, Marty, even if it does kinda peeve you, LOL.

Have you tried asking your neighbor to be more protective of their cat? I'd worry so much I'd march right over there and do it myself if I lived there (I'm known to do such things  )

Wait, is that an actual cat on the fence (your side)? It almost looks like a flat wooden decoration. The white cat right?

Yes, Cleo, it is a real cat. I have seen him boldly in my yard when the dogs are sound asleep in the house.

What you can't tell from the pic is that there is a 4 foot easement for water drainage between between the shrubs (actually a vine growing over my chain link fence) and the neighbor's wooden privacy fence. So I guess the cat is safe to tease...but I do get concerned to see him in my yard.

Some people are hard to talk to, especially here in the South about animals...won't do much good. They haven't seen the easement in the 15 years they have been here...and darn, it needs attention sometimes!!!

Maybe she is seeing if the grass really is green on the other side of the easement, LOL, just kidding.

I think there's one cat like that in every neighborhood. Everywhere I've lived there has been one cat who just loved to taunt the dogs. We have one here. He belongs to my next door neighbor. He used to come in the yard all the time - that is until I got Foxy. When the cat first started coming into the yard, I had Mickey and Allie, then got Angel. Mickey was too old by then to chase him, and Allie doesn't chase - she backs up while barking like a fool. Angel would run after him, but with her hip dysplasia, she was no match for the cat. Wellllllll, along comes Foxy. 2 years old at the time and very good hips. She's also large for a Sheltie so she has a long gait AND she also has a VERY good nose! Not too long after we got her, I let the dogs out and she got a whiff of cat and about knocked my over to get out the door. She when running 90 miles an hour and darn near caught that cat. The cat was cocky enough to show up again a few days later, and the same thing happened. We haven't seen the cat in the back yard since! Now it's just he squirrels that drive her nuts.
