Beautiful cat pics and wish I was in that garden right now. When you say kitty garden do you mean they go out there on a leash as I know you believe in indoor only?

Thanks, Mompaws. No, they don't go out (a few used to when younger, on a harness and leash, but they're fraidycats now). Cat-safe for the neighbor cats, strays and ferals 
My cats can see the entire garden from the french doors, it was installed just for them

Traci- that is so beautiful to make your garden cat safe for other cats and I love what you said about yours being able to see all of it..that is great. It is a wonderful sanctuary for you too probably after a long hard day at work. And you enriched your yard for your kitties..that is awesome. I know my little Angel loves to watch the birds land on the fence and the bunnies at night (and daytime, too). Always wanted to ask you this - can cats really see that good in the dark? Angel goes gaga at night watching the bunnies out there and it is very dark, but she is glued to the window.

Marty, yeah, 13-14 hour days for one week, it was brutal, but worth it.
Mompaws, glad you liked it! When remodelling, we took out one window and installed a double-french door on that end because that's where all the critters are...I wanted it for the cats because they were always fighting over one of two window sills in that room, and now they can be anywhere in the room and still see out, all of them
It also lets in alot more light too. The yard is never boring, there is always someone out there.
I love the neighbor cats, strays and ferals as much as my own, so that's why the non-toxic stuff, they are always here anyway and now they are here almost all the time, LOL. But, it was a chore trying to find plants not toxic to critters, the choices are limited, and you know how I am about toxic plants! I also wanted to keep it simple enough to avoid alot of maintenance.
Yes, cats can see in the dark, but not as well as people might think. They DO see better than humans in the dark, but it's not like they have infrared vision, just extended vision and they can make out shapes and shadows etc better than humans. I'm sure Angel can see full detail of your bunnies in the yard!

The veterinary site is now on another server, so I used the current server to put the gallery on since I already had it paid for (both my site and the gallery site are on my same host). Just modified a template (heavily, that's what took so long), used javascript for the image resizing, makes it really quick.
The stepping stones was the easiest, despite how heavy they were, they were easy to place, since all it took was a bit of sand underneath to set them in, then spread mulch around and in between. The hardest part was the digging, until a sod-cutter was rented, LOL! And working in the heat of summer wasn't the greatest, but I was too slow at spring, so it's done now, still debating on whether or not to plant irises and tulips, I'm thinking not, since they are technically, toxic to pets, I just haven't observed the cats bothering the neighbors' irises and tulips.

I have both irises and tulips and the cats have never bothered.....you would plant those in the fall anyways, when it is a bit cooler!!....and give them enough room to grow/divide if you plant them where you have landscape cloth....and remember...Irises should be so that the bulbs are slightly ABOVE ground anyways

Maybe because they're so fragrant the cats dont bother them? This has always been a mystery to me. I do have a space alotted for them if I decide to, I have a couple more months to decide, yes?
The play sand is kinda cool, comes in different colors, and of course, non-toxic. It's easy to work with and when wet, it looks better. Eventually, it sinks and disperses anyway so may have to put more in, probably not, I don't want to have to eventually have to clean the creek, LOL.
