Goodbye, Sweet Buster...

My heart is broken today. My orange tabby, Buster, has left for the Rainbow Bridge. Yesterday, at this time, he was fine, bouncing around and "mooching" a few table scraps. He was such a joy and loved life - told you all about it. He was our "talker".

Last night at about 3:30 AM, he started to meow this strange meow continuosly. He vomited and had diahrrea several times and acted strange. We have no 24-hour emergency vet and Buster acted ill - but not deathly ill. I took him to the vet this morning and they said he would need hydration. That's the last time I saw him. The vet doesn't know what could have made him so sick so fast. All she could think of was poison, but we have no poisons around here. So we will never know why our beloved boy died. And it was so unexpected.

It just seems so surreal - I expect to see him walk into the room at any moment.

I'm sure he will be greeted by my Snowball, Frosty, Leo, Foghorn and Yoda. I love you, Buster!

I am so sorry.....it hurts any time we lose one of our beloved critters...but when it happens so fast and unexpected, and we do not find the reason....it tends to hurt worse

Sue, words cannot express my sorrow, my heart just aches for you. How could we forget Buster, I remember when you got him as just a kitten, so full of life and mischief. I know that he and all your babies have been the love of your life, and it is so trying and difficult when this is so unexpected.

I wish I had words that could take away your pain. Know that we are thinking of you, holding your hand from across the miles, and will forever remember Buster with fondness and love.
