I rescued my cat in the middle of winter from a house where no one lived. She was freezing, and i couldn't just leave her there.
A couple months went by, and she went into heat. Now she is pregnant, and has been for about 8 weeks. She should be due next weekend, but there is actually no telling when she will have her kittens.
Do you guys have any advice on kitty birth? This will be a first for me! :[
Thanks a lot!

In addition to the links Tambrey provided, get kitty to your vet immediately for a thorough exam so he can determine her age, overall health status, and how many kittens she has in her uterus, he can also tell you what you need to be prepared for, how to rear kittens, take care of the queen etc. You need your vet or an emergency vet available in the event of an emergency or complications during delivery. Do not wait on this, get her to your vet TODAY for an exam!!

Re: My kitty is pregnant!!
I took her to the vet in loganville today,
She said that kitty is about 2 and a half, and should have about 6 kittens.
We have another appointment on wednesday if she hasn't already had the kits.
And she told me to watch her, and if one comes breech to give it a small tug if she stops pushing it, and after that she should starrt pushing agian. :]
Thanks a lot you guys!

Glad to see you took her to the vet. Please please spay her after this. There is no reason to have more kittens out there in the world. Good luck with the births.

Re: My kitty is pregnant!!
Oh oh oh i am definatly getting her spayed after this,
I asked the vet today about it, and they said they have a low cost spay/neuter program, that only cost 50 bucks with all the medications and everything. I thought it would be like 200 bucks or something like that.
Is there any way that the surgery could go wrong or something horrible? :[

There is always that slim chance....but slim....the vet should go over all of that with you before surgery....
I have raised MANY cats over the years and have never lost one to a spay or neuter....or any other surgery for teeth, wound stitching/cleaning, etc....
She should be fine....but be sure to wait until the kittens are old enough and she is done nursing them....which will probably be at about 11-12 weeks of age....
and please do NOT remove them from their mom before that time...they need that full 12 weeks for HER to teach THEM proper manners and get them ready to go on their own....actually, SHE will probably let YOU know when it is time for them to move on....and be sure that their new forever homes also read the links for spay/neuter and indoor only...or print out those pages and send along with each kitten...
