I think the idea of the air vac bags sounds good to me...I think as long as you then store them in a cool dark place it should be fine. Just be sure to put the use by date on the baggies :)

I guess I just get a vision of ice crystals in a frozen package (freezerburn) and think yuck!
I said "fridge", not freezer. I use the 3.whatever bags which last a week for the insiders. I use the 18. whatever bags for the outsiders which will usually last about a week and a half. Only in the summer will I put them in the fridge. The whole idea behind the vac bags was to suck out all the air to help keep them fresh with or without refrigeration.
