New camera, new pics

Post by slvrwhispr »

Got a new camera, and what better subject for the first pictures than the cat? So here's a couple of cute shots of Izzy, who is loving life in Texas.

Watching TV from the back of the couch.

Dozing off. Must not have been an exciting show.

Flash woke me up. Knock it off; that thing's bright.

She is very pretty and looks soooo settled in! Enjoy your new addition and new camera! Are you in any of the flooded areas in Texas? Hope not!
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

Oh yeah, we got a LOT of rain yesterday. But I'm in a second story apartment. Floods don't really bother me so long as I don't have to drive anywhere. Our area wasn't too bad, even though we got a lot -- A LOT -- of rain. Some roads were kinda deep, but nothing a truck can't handle.

Glad you're safe and dry. I've got the news on now and some parts of the country got hit bad with floods. We shouldn't be too bad here in central Jersey, though some areas do flood. I'll be okay thank goodness!

Debbie

Izzy is beautiful as always! Glad she settled in and adjusted well.

Cute pics. Glad she has adjusted so well. Also, this speaks well for your early bonding skills: your cat is at home with you, not with the surroundings... congratulations!

On another subject you say
we got a lot -- A LOT -- of rain. Some roads were kinda deep, but nothing a truck can't handle.
Please take it from an old Texas gal who has driven and ridden in these parts for many, many years: Do not ever put that to a test! Nearly every flood season we lose people who thought 'Oh, that doesn't look too deep for MY vehicle...' If yours is the first vehicle in line and you can't see the roadway CLEARLY where water is collecting, DO NOT try to drive through until someone in authority (or with at least a "6 by" truck) checks it out, okay?
