What are you feeding her now, is she off the K/D?
Is she still licking/pulling her fur? Have you or the vet ever noticed tiny little bumps on the skin near the areas she's licking/pulling her fur?
Why are you treating for fleas if there are no fleas in the environment, and if there is no evidence of fleas on her or the other cats? Did the vet check thoroughly to see if there is any evidence of fleas or flea dirt in the fur? Has he ruled out mites? (ear mites for example, these can migrate to other parts of the body, although your other cats would undoubtedly get them too). Did he ever do a skin scrape and culture to rule out other skin conditions?
What type of litter are you using in the boxes? Is she avoiding any of the litterboxes, or using only a specific one, or?
No more "allergy shots", I suspect all this is is cortisone shots, and this isn't intended for long-term use, there are always risks when using this approach with cortisone. A great number of vets use this as a bandaid approach while not truly addressing the underlying problem.
MYTHIE - outside the box

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
Vets seem to think everything is fine with her medically. They checked for mites and skin problems etc.
Maybe it is just behavioral and i'm missing something.
no bumps on the skin....

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
hi traci... i think i may have figured out what it was....
the other morning i was re-routing some tunnels in the gerbilarium and i noticed mythie was going in the new low walled litter box. i'd known she was using since we brought her back from the vet. she was very close to the edge and so the poop that came out while still attatched to her was sort of lodged between her and the tip of the wall because of her position i n the box.... she was obviously almost done but due to the wall being where it was nothing was moving or falling and so after a few seconds she flew out of the box as she normally does and the bits came with her until the fell off....
the 3 other boxes are completely high walled which is not an issue for the other two probably because they don't go so close to the edge like mythie does.....
so this weekend we are getting a very low walled box for mythie and hopefully that will have solved the problems....
it makes sense as i only started using the super high walled boxes when we moved to the new place which is when it all began... reason being that my long legged zooey very often "thinks" her rear end is inside the box when she pees and it is not.... so the high walls were to contain her....
anyway.... will keep you posted....
