Anybody have a cat that sits/sleeps in very random places?

Post by drunkmike »

Places or positions I should say.. Baxter will NOT let me get rid of this box that my laptop came out of. He has pretty much taken ownership of it and has moved himself along with his toys in. I put it out on the back porch a few weeks ago after I first got my new laptop and he sat at the door and cried until I brought it back in. I put it up on the recliner the other day so I could vacuum and he took it was I was going to get rid of it and securely planted his butt so I could not take it! LOL!

Some of his other random sleeping positions.. He has the life I swear!

Looks like he can sleep anywhere. He sure does look comfortable!

that day I came home and saw him sitting on the couch like that I almost died laughing.. He just had a look on his face like "sup?"

I almost killed myself trying to get over to him and snap a pic thinking he was going to move but he was so content he stayed there for probably another hour before getting up!

Your Baxter reminds me so much of my Tigger...I rescued him as a kitten and he died at the age of 16

There are three, yes, three boxes sitting on the floor here right now because every time I go to pick one up and get rid of it Willow looks at me like "you would do that??!! You'd take my precious box??!!" So, I continue to tolerate them for her....these cats, I swear they have us wrapped around their paws!

Baxter is beautiful!

You MUST not move, replace, or alter the box in any way, shape or form, he has claimed it, and you now just have to grin and bear it. It is now a nice additional piece in your home decor.

I love his pics, he's such a cool cat!

He also has claimed the christmas mat from the front porch once I brought that in when we were taking down the decorations. I left it laying on the floor while we were putting stuff away and after he laid on it that was it. Everyone always asks me why I still have a xmas mat in the living room and think I am crazy when I tell them the cat wont let me have it LOL.

Thanks for the compliments!

Bax has so many things in this living room its not even funny anymore. His decor consists of, a crinkle tube that he attacks the dog from, 2 play "cubes".. one for sleeping and a collapsible one that he uses to sneak attack the dog. 2 scratching posts, 1 back scratcher hoop that he walks through to knock the loose fur off his back, 2 blankets that only he is allowed to use and misc toys, balls, and other electronics that he has claimed as his. In the bedroom is no better as its deadly to walk around at night without tripping over or stepping on something that he has drug out.

He is so spoiled that he can play with the puppies toys in the living room (she is not allowed in the bedroom) but as soon as he brings something out and she picks it up he beats the crap out of her and puts it back in his box. Its hilarious to watch these 2 goobers sometimes.

Thanks :)

He is in shed-mode right now.. I just vacuumed the house and had to empty my bagless twice from all of his fur! Between him and my Sheltie puppy I have my hands full with brushing lately.. Thank god my pup is a somewhat short hair (I forget what they are called.. smooth hair or something like that) or I would really be in trouble!
