ringworm spray
Re: ringworm spray
I hope your boss doesn't intend on using this as a sole therapy. It's only intended to be used in combination with a more effective therapy (i.e., miconazole shampoo or systemic therapy for severe cases). A miconazole shampoo would probably be more effective - the spray seems to contain a very small amount of active ingredients, yet, alot of alcohol (which could be harmful on open wounds/lesions)
Also, if a spray was used, it would have to be in a manner that allowed proper ventillation, and care not to spray around face/eyes, nor on open wounds, and to prevent the pet from licking the product (and seperating kittens/cats until fur is dry) and preventing inhalation of the product. Towelettes/pads (pledgets) of the product may be more useful and safer for the pet.
Lastly, if a spray and shampoo are used, it would be best to use the same brand so that there is not an excess (or lack of) effective action of the product.

Re: ringworm spray
we have used it on only 1 kitten so far, a 6 month old, and the skin/hair around the ringworm peeled away! It looks awful, but it's not a wound, it's just like BALD spot on his back. Very strange. I won't use it any more. We also have the shampoo and the wipes, I will stick to the wipes. We only have one ringworm cat in the whole shelter right now, I hope to keep it that way!
