Cat Toys
I was just wondering what every-one's favorite cat toy was. Sammy has tons of toys but his favorite has to be those little ratteling mice. Anna is curently to busey trying to keep up with 3 babies to play with toys but I know she likes those ratteling balls, and the kittens are now playing with a little stuffed dog. So what's your cat's favorite toy?
Re: Cat Toys
my java has no interest in toys. but rocky loved the fury spider toys that have bendable (pipe cleaner style) legs.
other than that, anything that will move...i have noticed an interest in pencils and pens, so am thinking of getting some dowels from the hardware store.

Great idea about the dowels.
Holly has lots of toys and is fond of her little mouse with wheels but I think her favorite toys are my socks! When she wants to play, she simply appears in front of me, sock in mouth and meows!
Oh, and watching her play with plastic Easter eggs is funny too.

Willow loves the mylar scruched up balls...Khanada loves the fur mice...Gizmo loves chasing rubber bands off of broccoli...and Frodo will pick up anything plastic like a milk jug lid or ring, yogurt top and run around with it like crazy

Re: Cat Toys
For the first two months of Sammy's life in my home I had a ribbon hanging down from the ceiling fan that would keep him busey for hours lol. Since we are on the subject is their any-thing that a cat shouldn't play with? Sammy doesn't touch wires, other than unplugging my keyboard. but other than that the world is his playground.

Certain, if not all when unsupervised, ribbon and string can be toxic and dangerous to cats if ingested. It can get tangled up and twist their insides resulting in surgery or even death. And if you decorate a Christmas tree, no silver tinsel.
I used to hang a shoe string with a toy from my ceiling fan too. They damn near took the fan down from the ceiling! So that's one toy less *LOL*
My Keeks loves to play with the pelts of the furry mice...not the mice themselves, oh no too easy. I have to peal the furs off - in one piece no less - and she's busy for hours. My Molly loves to play with those big bouncy rubber balls, almost the size of a small egg. It's amazing to watch her grab it with her front paws, stand up on her hind legs and let the ball drop, bounce and roll. If I didn't see if for myself I'd never believe it!
Oh and forget cat trees, beds, huts, houses ... any empty cardboard box becomes their playground and domain!

My kitten Chloe likes the mice that rattle. She carries it around in her mouth. She also likes the balls with the bells in them.

Isabelle's favorite toy is rolled up paper. She will even fetch if she is in the mood. Any time anything paper is rattled in the house she shows up and sits there "just so" until you have to give it to her.
Her other favorite toy is a stuffed Pokemon that has 4 legs or something. Anyway, she will run all over the house throwing this thing up in the air and catching it.
Last, but not least, the rings off of milk jugs. I do have to take them away from her when she starts chewing on them, however. When we moved from our house a few years ago, there were tons of those things under the fridge where my cat Brewster had batted them away.
Aren't they just the cutest things to watch, though?

You should also keep rubber bands, plastic bags and paper clips away from them.
