FANG SHUI - Feng Shui for Felines
Introduction:
"There is great disorder in the heavens -- but the cat still naps."
Catfucius says: "The wise cat knows how to be in harmony with its environment. This is the essence of feng shui. A cat enlightened in the ways of feng shui knows how to manipulate its environment to ensure the maxium flow of ch'i (life force). If the cat's desires are met, excellent ch'i is achieved. When the needs of humans and cats coincide, peace and harmony will prevail. When the the needs of humans and cats clash, peace and harmony will prevail -- for the cat.
The Paw-gua:
To analyze your environment, use a six-sided map called the paw-gua. The paw-gua shows your position in the known universe. It divides life neatly into six areas:
In the north, we find Nature, or the outside world, which the adventurous cat wants to visit just after the humans have sat down.
In the northeast is the Home, where the cats holds dominion over all.
To the southeast is Sustenance, or the food that any self-respecting cat won't eat.
South of the cat is Health, which consists of copious napping.
In the southwest is Romance, which is slightly more important than food, but not as important as napping.
Finally in the northwest is Family (humans) or those who think they 'own' cats."
