I didn't realize just how many photos of cats I got while in Turkey. They were all so very photographic and friendly. Anyway...here are some. I think I have a cat for every day I was there!!
Cats in Cappadoccia
Karavansaray cat
Karavansaray cat #2
St. Nicholas (yes, THE St. Nicholas..the real Santa!) Church cat
St. Nicholas cat and dog....everyone gets along in Turkey!
Ipek restaurant cat being fed by our bus driver Yücel. Cats hang out around restaurants the and the fish markets and people do not shoo them away, they feed them.
Pamukkale cat. She was my favorite. I love her eyeliner!
Temple cat (at the Temple of Apollo in Didyma)

Yet another Ephesus cat, soaking up some attention
Acropolis cats (at Bergama)...there was a third one but he didn't want to be photographed

Great pictures! And it is so good to learn cats are treasured there... years ago I got to see the well-tended feral cats that live in the ruins of the Colosseum in Rome, but had not heard of cats being in the places you visited - your post is like a travelogue - thanks for sharing, Tina!
