Re: Our demands have been met!
Is it electric and is it hooked up to a water supply or do you fill it?
Re: Our demands have been met!
do they PLAY in it?! My Gump and Majik are terrible players when it comes to water....
BTW....I use a cake pan cover too...I threw out an old cake pan months ago and decided that the lid would make a good water catcher!!

Re: Our demands have been met!
No the tray didn't come with it. It's the lid to what I was using with the bowls. I lucked out as it fits perfectly!
So far, no players. They were bad playing and splashing with the bowls, but so far, so good.
Yes, it's electric and no, not hooked up to a water supply. The resevoir in the back holds extra water, otherwise the bowl and inside the spout gets filled with water that's recirculated. There's a charcol filter in it.
I haven't had it for a full week yet but so far, I'm very happy with it.

Re: Our demands have been met!
I can imagine my Cody going for a swim in that, so much for that idea.
Hope it works for you, Cleo, give us an update when the cats start splashing, LOL.

Where'd you get it?!
Re: Our demands have been met!
I got mine at Petsmart. In store had a $5.00 off sale. It's pricey, but worth it to me.

Thanks Cleo. Last year during Pinto's bout w/UTI his vet advised me to get one of these fountains. At that time, our nearby PetsMart did not have any in stock - at least neither I nor the clerk who waited on me could find one - and I was a bit leery anyway because Pinto is such a pill about fooling with tank or bottle water feeders. He doesn't play in the bowl itself, but purposely knocks the tank/bottle over ...so I gave up and concentrated on wedging in the kitchen and bath water feeders in such a way they can't be easily overturned, and I keep regular bowls in other rooms.
Don't like to go to PetsMart on a Saturday as it is dog adoption day (GSD Winnie went to the Bridge 2 years ago yesterday evening) but need to for other stuff... So I will use the watering fountain as a reason to concentrate on just kitty needs!
Come to think of it, however, does anyone know how well an electric fountain works in a household that has dogs as well as cats? If I do get to go back to my NOLA house, I intend to get another dog (tenants here can have either a cat or 1 small dog, not both - I have 2 cats because I'm careful about them so neighbors and management kinda look the other way in my case )

Well there's a picture on the box of a dog using it as well as a cat. I got the biggest one available in the cat section but took a stroll over to the dog stuff. They had a super huge electric waterer for a big dog. I was tempted but decided to try this one out first.
I'm not having the problems I thought I would with splashing or messing around. I hope I didn't just jinx myself there. My Simon (orange tabby) is devious for sliding/pulling the trays that held the bowls across the kitchen floor leaving big puddles. So far, he's been content with the drizzle fountain feature.
