Sorry for all my questions, just trying to determine some things. Did you see your vet give the vaccination and benedryl injection? Reason I ask is if the lump is in the exact location where injections were given, this would give us reason to believe it is inflammation, oftentimes common, but you do need to monitor it closely for changes in size, shape, time it takes to recede or otherwise.

If this lump is NOT in the exact area injections were given, it could be a lipoma, (fatty deposit in tissue, most often nothing to worry about), but again, still need to keep an eye on it.

As for Baxter, don't balk at the idea of an extraction....if the tooth is severely decayed, it's probably best to extract it so it doesn't cause problems later on, or infect other teeth.

Yes we watched the injection and its right in the spot.. We will just have to keep an eye on it to make sure it goes down and not up!

As for Bax's tooth, they think it MIGHT be able to be cleaned enough to save it, but we are kinda looking at a worst case scenerio.. I really would rather go for the low end of the budget rather then the high as we are looking at starting around $350 for no extractions (the low end) and up to $700 for the wosrt!!! I won't know 100% untill we actually visit with the dentist unfortunately.. so I guess we will see!

Thanks again Traci, you are full of good info as usual!

Well, DO call your vet tomorrow, so he's aware your pup has a lump....he will probably advise you to watch it, but he does need to know your concerns.
