thanks kehorner....I was beginning to worry because even after we got home, and I was trying to GIVE him a dish of canned food, he kept running scared from me
He finally went under my computer desk, so I put the dish on the floor and nudged it under with my foot...pretty soon he was carefully eating...
But it still took another hour or so before he came to snuggle in my arms and snort and purrrr in my ear!!

Re: *Sighs*...Roo Again
Tambrey, I saw that you mentioned Zymox. I use it for Allie and really like it. It's a "natural" product, which may make some people think less of it, but it is based on what our own bodies, and the bodies of our animals do naturally. It contains 3 natural antimicrobials, the main one being the enzyme lysozyme. Lysozyme is found in all body secretions (mucus, tears, saliva, etc.) and in all our cells. It targets the cell wall of various microbes. I tried several things for Allie's chronic yeast infections that were given to me by my vet, and none of them worked. The Zymox completely cleared one ear (It's been infection-free at least 5 years), but the other one has remained more difficult. I need to treat it every few months or so. Since Allie is a sheltie, not a cat, I don't know anything about Zymox use in cats, so I'm not going to make any recommendation one way or the other. I just wanted to let you know that it worked for Allie.

That is good to know K9Karen....I want to get to whatever the root of this problem is, and since I too have ear troubles, I do know how painful flareups can be...
Even if I need to use drops or whatever for the rest of his/their lifes, I will do it if it helps....
