I just wanted to remind everyone of the dangers at Christmas to our
four legged friends. My 2 yr old cat, Samantha, decided that Christmas
ribbon would be a good thing to eat this year. She managed to get it
from the bottom of the pile of presents and get it off the present and
eaten before I got back into the room (about 10 minutes). She has
undergone surgery and had it removed but isn't out of danger yet - has
now spiked a fever that won't go away.
Please remember to keep shiny, noisy things away from our "meow"
friends and chocolates away from our "ruff" friends. Many dogs come
into emergency every night while I'm there to visit with Samantha
because they've eaten chocolates.
Keep Safe,
M-J

We are keeping our fingers and paws and whiskers crossed for Samantha's recovery.

Re: Dangers of Christmas
The fever is probably the result of infection, post-surgery, is your vet addressing this agressively? I assume Samantha is still being hospitalized? With an emergency veterinary facility? (24/7 care)
