Show off your Christmas decorations!

Post by Marty »

I know it's late for this, but MomPaws pic made me do it! It's OK if you can't post until after the big day...we'll enjoy it just the same!

WOW! Gorgeous!! Makes me sad I don't decorate anymore but with 9 cats, there wouldn't be a shred of Christmas to be found! *LOL* Love your stained glass Santa. It is stained glass right? I do it for a living. That's a cool piece.

Thanks for your nice comments, Cleo. Yes, that is stained glass made by my former SIL, who picked up the hobby from my Dad. I love that Santa, and will keep it no matter what I feel about her.

Remind me after Christmas, and I will get a better picture of the hanging lamp over the table...my Dad did that one.

He started a gorgeous piece for my dining room, but sadly passed on before finishing it. I know it's still sitting in my Mom's cellar... :(

Your house looks so festive and beautiful!

I haven't decorated since 1990-something, I miss it. I'm sure the cats do too

Very lovely!

I'm sure glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't decorate any more. I used to go all-out, but once the kid left home and didn't come home for Christmas anymore (we spend Christmas at my mom's), it just became a lot of hard work that no one appreciated (hubbie is Scrooge personified!)

gorgeous....thank you so much for sharing

I used to decorate and if I could find some older pics, I would scan and post them..
I have a big Edwardian home and LOVED decorating it, but I am with Cleo and Traci...cats would destroy things...they have...
and K9Karen....too much work and the house is cluttered enough  and I just cannot imagine adding more to it...

so last year, we only did a tree in the entry hall and decorated the banister...
This year, we have all been in sort of a depressed funk or something and no ambition or desire to decorate...we barely got gifts for our son and his girlfriend...

Maybe if I ever get my act together...and as cats begin to cross the Bridge...I will not bring more in and we will start to decorate again....

LOL...this is just a non=serious post...

All you scrooges with cats...gotta tell you that there are no presents under the tree because I don't trust the dogs... specially Buffy...and Biscotti....Java is safe as long as it's not food!

Scrooge huh? I'll have to take a picture of the faux floral arrangement from my sister's wedding to prove my point. Actually I have a faux floral swag hanging over the doorway into my bedroom. The computer desk is right next to the doorway and many a time I've found a kitten hanging from it. And that's the fake stuff. I dare to think what they'd do to a tree!
