Is there anything natural I can give my cat to ease hairballs? She has medium length hair & I brush her daily but she still gets them. Is mackerel OK to give her - the oil would probably help. Else, which commercial products are good?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Hairballs
No "natural" stuff and no fish please, search the forums for numerous posts on fish, tuna, long-term effects and dangers of fish.
Laxatone from your vet (or pet store) would be the best product, but you shouldn't have to give it very often. Brush her once or twice weekly -- brushing every day could be inciting her to groom more than usual, only once or twice a week should suffice--, consider the diet you're feeding may be contributing and ask your vet if he can recommend one suitable for kitty's particular needs.
