You are trying to force the cat to use the cat door, you're forcing him to go outdoors, HE knows the dangers, but obviously you don't.

Sorry, but you're anthropomorphizing and that's so unfair for the cats. We're all aware of how perfect the UK is, and how there are never any dangers for cats, no cars to hit them, no weather elements, no viruses, no parasites, etc etc etc. In a perfect word, maybe.
