How is he doing dear?
Almost 7 years in remission from Graves disease and no meds!
Re: mega colon ???
Thank you to those who responded. Simba is doing much better and has even started to play around the house again. His propulsid and lactalose has started having the desired outcome and thinks are closer to normal for him. The helpful suggestions were beneficial in my asking questions of the two vets involved. Thank you again for all of the help.
Re: mega colon ???
Good to hear. Maybe discuss the diet with the vet (or see a new vet), since diet truly does have alot to do with symptoms and flare-ups of megacolon. Ideally, an easily-digestible diet or even hypoallergenic diet is preferred. (Iams may not fall into that category, and Fancy Feast isn't a quality food, although if it is working for him, don't change it unless on advice of your vet). He should be on a more specific diet, one that is more manageable for the condition (i.e, hypoallergenic, easy to digest, etc).
