I could try asking vets, but I don't have a good feeling about it.
Most of the places had automated messages on their phone numbers that said without question that they weren't accepting animals, so I don't feel like it was any individual lying out of laziness or anything.
I had the thought of the cat possibly having some kind of stomach problem, yeah. It's unlikely but always possible. The cat does seem healthy from what my mom says though.
I do know that cats choose me and my mom very often for a reason... LOL we're suckers.
Thanks for the kind words.
Pregnant cat...
Re: Pregnant cat...
Well, my mom has decided to keep the cat. At least until after her kittens are old enough to be adopted out. She's going to make every effort to make sure the kittens are born in a safe and enclosed environment. She has some options after all when it comes to that.
Rest assured all the kitties will be fixed when the time comes. :P
At least one person already wants a kitten, so at least one of them probably already has a home. I'm sure we'll figure out the rest of them in the long run.
I'll probably be checking in on the kitty regularly.
I'm sure a lot of people would think the cat would be far better often being cared for by someone else, but... Since I tried and failed to make that happen, on we go with the options we have.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement. :P

Re: Pregnant cat...
MJ, If mom can not afford to have her then how is the kitty going to go to vet and get a check up at least to see if there are any problems and to see if she is ill.? Just because she looks good doesnt mean she doesnt have a disease.
Also how is mom affording the kitty food and going to afford little and a pan. I dont want you to tell me this but you might want to talk to mom and ask her. Dont let her use a cc to try to get this done it will only be her doom. Maybe if she talks to vet and tells him that since they wont take her in that maybe since she is taking her in they can cut her a break on care and spaying after she is done.
How will she afford the kittens being fixed? This is a huge responsibility and from what you said mom can not afford this at all.
