...weekend, so I'll try to get new pics of Mr. Blue with his buddy, Lizzie. Here they are from last Thanksgiving:
These two get along really well together. Even our cat was starting to relax around Lizzie. The only odd thing is that these two dogs, normally each very friendly and curious to other dogs, really do become the "Demonic Duo" when I've walked them together. Every time they see another dog, they both go into a super-protective and growly mode. I've decided not to do this over the weekend; it's stressful to see it happen, and I don't want to scare other dogs and dog people. I'll walk each of them separately.
TGIF!! No new pics yet, but we're dog-sitting again this...

Nice pic, Mary- i bet they do have fun together, but the walking separately sounds like a good idea. That's funny how they change when together - maybe being more protective of eachother??? I don't know....

It really is interesting to see how they adjust to being...
...part of a pack! The only thing Mr. Blue absolutely insists on is going into the house first; he'll snarl at Lizzie a little to let her know that. I don't completely understand the adjustments they make to each other, but so far so good! I put his food bowl down first, and give him a treat first, so there's no fighting about that. Poor Lizzie was so scared last night, because a town near us was having their fireworks display. She ended up on the bed with us and Mr. Blue for a while, which I think helped.

oh, yes, the dreded 4th of July weekend is coming...Honey freakes out! Am glad when that weekend passes. My little sweetie gets so scared she shakes and drools. If I can give her her little "calming pill" ahead of time it is better...she really needs it.
