our wire brush is similar to the first link Traci posted....just a different manufacturer....sme concept....

Thanks a lot for the links, Traci. It helped a lot to see a picture, now I know what to look for. :D

I'm not sure what you mean about a brush breaking the fur before it reaches the undercoat though? How would I tell if there's a problem?

As for what he eats, Iam's original dry cat food and sometimes Iam's canned food as a treat. No worries there. :P

Edit: On that note, I used to use Iam's indoor cat formula with hairball control... But they seem to have stopped selling it anywhere here.

A plastic brush or inappropriate bristle brush will break the strands of hair (fur), much like it does your own if you use the wrong type of brush.

TWO of the ladies on my SHE forums are talking about how wonderful the Furminator is....I think I may need to get a couple this weekend
