She's really a beautiful little kitty! My brother has one that's very similar - has that bushy, bushy tail and the same markings. She's a real sweetie and it sounds like this one is too.

I'm praying that one of these days she will finally realize she will never ever go hungry here.

For now, our daily routine is I pop the lid to feed kitties, she jumps right in, I scoop around her, and on the last scoop, I pick her up and put her in front of the bowl I fill and hastily put the lid on!

poor baby....yes, I hope she learns that food will always be available for her...
BTW...I love the idea of the storage tote....does the lid fit tight enough that the food does not get stale before it is all used?....Our humidity is so high here (80% plus lately) that I keep ours in a very well cleaned out kitty litter bucket with a tight lid...but that does not hold an entire 20 pound bag of food...which only lasts us 10-11 days anyways...

Tambrey, I bought Vittle Vaults (at Walmart),...see link below, and choose the #20 tall cannister, it fits 20 lbs cat food (depending on the exact size and settling, I usually have a small gallon container full left over from a 20-lb bag)

Best small investment I ever made, they keep the food really fresh and sealed tightly....they sit on a shelf in my pantry and it's easy to scoop what is needed (comes with scoops).

Vittle Vault (3 sizes). The 20# dimensions are exact, it looks like a tall 5-gallon bucket.

hhmm...I have never seen them here....I may have to consider the site to store and purchase online...would be great for the dogfood too..we use a metal garbage can for that!

Tambrey, the container I use seals very tightly and the food stays fresh. I got it at our Dollar General Store here, around $5.00 I think. I use the bigger tupper-ware type containers for dog food. I have three of them which each hold a 40 pound bag of dog food.

The cat food container holds a 20# bag of cat food with maybe 2" left to the top when full
