or something similar? If you do, is it useful? If you don't, would you want one? If not, why not?

My Mr. Dot would love to go outside. We tried with a harness and line but it didn't work well. Opinons wanted!

I'd question anything with soft mesh material, it's just too flimsy, and this appears like it's way too lightweight, as if the wind could blow it away any minute.

Any outdoor enclosure for cats should be firmly attached to the ground in some fashion, the base and walls and celing are the critical components and need to be secure. I'd also worry about materials like mesh or light screen that a cat (or other animal) can rip through in seconds.

I'm sure the manufacturer has good intentions, and to their credit they do advise owners supervise cats in this at all times, but I hope people don't get the wrong idea that this is secure without every-second supervision.

Just call me doom and gloom, sorry, I just can't envision the perfect outdoor cat enclosure without building it myself.

I would only want to use it while outside with him, either doing yard work or lounging. This thing comes with stakes to hold it to the ground and weight bags (not sure how weight bags would work). It also says the mesh "stands up to claws". I don't see Mr. Dot using his claws on it. He has been excellent about that in the house.

I just feel bad for him not being able to go outside which he really wants to do. He loves to sit in the window sill and he has never clawed the window screen.

I have seen other products similar to this so this isn't the only choice.
