I guess there is only one way to find out...after she checks out healthy with the vet!!JD wrote:We're in Missouri. I haven't had a chance to think of whether I'll be keeping her or adopting her out, but she is a beauty!
Still, I have my two cats, one of which is blind, and I dont know how he'll react to a new cat in the house.

I'm glad you posted the video, without seeing her, I can only speak from experience and seeing the video: she walks (tries) as if her pelvis could be fractured. Yes, this is extremely painful. Until you can get to the vet, please try to keep her activity limited, no running, no jumping, no falling from tall objects. Give her a soft, fluffy bed (on the floor near a warm area) to lay in and cater to her needs, like put her food/water dishes very nearby and the litterbox in an opposite area closeby so she doesn't have to walk far to get to either one. Better yet, don't let her walk at all, if possible, it could worsen any fracture. If you have a large cat carrier or small dog crate, that would be best, just be sure to have food/water for her, and change bedding if she eliminates on it. The mouth also looks sore, particularly when she meowed, she didn't close her mouth right away...your vet will want to check her teeth and mandible/jaws for any signs of fractures.

I would have to say I agree with traci. As soon as i saw the video I thought the same thing about her pelvis. Poor thing!
DId they get the license plate of the person who did this y'know just in case they need it.?
I was trying to think of a word for her eyes. I spoke wiht my mom and she reminded me of what she use to call my eyes...It was hauntingly blue she use to say.
This kitty has haunting eyes...you just melt away in them and get trapped right in. So eerie yet so warm and focused. Wow her eyes are just amazing with that lines in them as though yellow paint were plattered thick on a wall tinted with red.....hmmm sorry the writer in me is getting the best of me...what a beauty she is.
Good luck to you and her, do as traci says and we'll pray that she'll heal fast.

When I rescued Snickers....the pregnant feral with fractured pelvis and front leg, I got a foil cake pan and folded down the sides even a bit more and she used that for her litterbox...
in time, she completely healed until she was climbing boxes I set up for her to get on and off of the bed, because elsewise she would try to jump...then she was jumping alright...and even though I kept a close vigil, she still managed to have the 3 kittens on her own without assistance...
You would never know she had been injured as she healed so well...hopefully this little girl will too...

She is recovering pretty well now, more mobile than before. Her face has cleared up and her attitude is really starting to shine.

Mamabear, I have no idea, I was just responding to JD's comment that she was more mobile and chipper. Or were you directing your comment at JD and used my name instead?
