This beautiful kitten - why are people so cruel? (pics)

This little girl was picked up by the police department and
brought to animal control. She was seen being tossed out
of a window of a moving car.

She came into AC the day before yesterday.
Her face was a bloody mess, her rear leg completely
limp and without movement.

I went and picked her up last night.
She had very limited movement in the back leg though it doesnt appear to be broken.
Her tail yesterday evening showed some sign of movement.

She eats.

She drinks.

She cries.

Above all, she PURRS.

You know, all animals deserve homes.
This one is such a beauty IMO -
I have no clue why someone would TOSS HER OUT instead of at least trying to give her away at the store.

Yes, I know all of the horrors of that too.

...

My heart is just sick over the continuous loss of lives due to idiots.
We have several animals in foster care and being boarded at this point.

This girl isn't suffering, but she is far from being in fit condition.
I have her here at the house and I'll do what I can with her,
in her best interest.

Financially, I'm almost maxed out on what I can offer fosters.
I have my own mouths to feed and vet.

Still, it just angers me so when people do things like this.

I'll be getting her to the vet today if at all possible,
and this morning I'm still praying for the best.

I'm uploading a short video of her now,
but my computer is very slow.

oh how sad
her eyes got to me in that picture....made me cry for her....oh so trusting yet pleading for help and love....

she is adorable and deserves a good loving forever home.....prayers that she has no permanent injuries and that time will heal her wounds externally as well as the internal emotional wounds that she has suffered...

Thank you for taking her and doing all you can for her...

about animals and cars...about a month ago, a woman here saw the window of a truck in front of her get a jack russell terrier tossed from it...at 55mph  onto the highway...she immediately stopped and ran to the ditch where the dog rolled to and he was totally still...btw...she had her small children with her as well...
finally the dog moved and she gently picked it up and went back into town to the first vet office she found and rushed the dog in...
he turned out to be okay except for some fur worn off and scrapes and bruises...he was lucky...she is in process of finding him a forever home because he is just too high maintenance for their family with little kids...but until they find him a home, he is with them,,,

Okay that's unforgivable. That kitty just got me. If you need financial help to get it well, please let me know and I will send you money. Please let us know how she does.

JD, I realize you said you were going to try to get her to a vet, but please, just do it. Her leg could indeed be broken or fractured, and in a young, developing kitten, an injury like that could affect her later on, such as degenerative joint disease or bone problems. It is also most certainly painful for her. Ask the vet about a payment arrangement, if you can leave at least a small deposit, he may be more willing to arrange payments. (try also explaining the story, some vets are sympathetic to this and may make the payment arrangement easier for you)

My heart breaks for this little beauty and for those like her, but thank goodness for people like you, who care enough to give her a new start in life. If only a witness caught the license plate of the person responsible, could have been fined for animal abuse. Even so, they will meet their maker one day and hope they rue the day they did this.

I wish I lived closer by, because I would surely adopt that precious little baby... she deserves to be loved, and I wish I could be the one to give it to her... poor, sweet thing...

Oh my word... she's utterly heartbreakingly adorable. I want her so bad... I wish I could bring her home... JD, you don't live anywhere near Michigan, do you...?

She goes in tomorrow at 9:40am. It was the earliest appointment I could make due to their openings, and a day before pay day so they say they can hold my check if need be until Friday.

She is a sweet baby. She eats, drinks and relieves herself, so right now Im not as worried about severe internal injuries.

Im still very worried about her though. :(

We're in Missouri. :) I haven't had a chance to think of whether I'll be keeping her or adopting her out, but she is a beauty!

Still, I have my two cats, one of which is blind, and I dont know how he'll react to a new cat in the house.
