Hi,

Shannon went for her follow up and she has a problem with her kidneys. Her Bun was 49 and the creatnine was 3. The vet said it was not high numbers but still cause for concern. She will have the test again in a month.

You all know how in love with Shannon I am (tears) and if there is any advice anyone could offer about renal failure, I would appreciate it. Please pray for Shannon. Thank you.

Peg, my dear friend, I am so sorry to hear that Shannon is having kidney problems now. It's just not fair - she has gone through so much with the thyroid radiation treatment! She deserves to be well now!

Thanks so much, Sue. I'm sitting here reading all the down sides of renal failure and crying my heart out but then we both know how that goes. I am so not ready to lose Shannon. I wish I had never done that I-131. Shannon was happy before it and has not been the same. I am upset that this came so quickly when she was testing so well. My heart is breaking...again! Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you.
