Cat Cohabitation???
My partner and I are moving in together. My cat is a docle, 17 yr old female russian blue who is use to being alone with the run of the house My partners two cats, one male on female are about 5 yrs old and are anything but docile. Any suggestions on how to ease this transition? Or should we just get tranquilizers - for ourselves.

this thread might be of some help
Feline Introductions
be sure to keep the cats in separate rooms when at least one of you is not home with them...give them time...MONTHS even...to adjust to one another...
and...water bottles are your friends!!!...get some with BLUE nozzles so you know they are JUST for water and have a couple strategically placed throughout the home...when a cat acts up, give it a squirt on the hind end, a firm NO and remove it to time out, a bathroom for no more than 10 minutes...then bring it out and try again...consistency and persistence...and ALOT of PATIENCE will be the key...
you two need to stay calm...so maybe tranquilizers for you two will not be a bad thing...hahaha
good luck and come keep us posted on progress....
