cat will not use litter box

i can not get my cat to poo in her box just pee i'v almost tried everything different litter, 2 boxes, confined to a small room it works but when she gets out back to the same proplem

Your cat needs to go to the vet and be checked out thoroughly, if you haven't done that yet.

The vet check is necessary, but maybe you need MORE litter boxes. Just because we think a cat should be able to make it to the other side of the house and down 2 flights of stairs to her ONLY box, doesn't mean that it is realistically possible. (Just an over-exageration of a possible problem)

can't give more advice than already given...vet check first, if things turn out OK physically then I'd take Jen's advice and get an additional litterbox. Sometimes cats like to poo and pee in different boxes. Let us know how things go.
