Wow, new guy Joe
Wow, new guy Joe
He's been laying quietly next to one of us since we picked him up on Friday. Kinda scarey, but we are letting him take his time.. He finally ate yesterday, and eats well now. After supper tonight...I see a flash of Joe, with something in his mouth. He had grabbed a plastic bone and was doing the Basset 500 (zoomies for some of you) around the house. Then he laid down on the dog bed and destroyed the bone. No one else ever paid attention to it anyways! I know somebody out there misses him....he is getting comfortable here!

Marty, Joe sounds delightful! If he has owners missing him
I hope they hook up with you, but part of me is really hoping he gets to stay with you!
Hmmm, didn't I hear that Mr. Blue needs a companion?
Kitty's are nice, but there is nothing like a friend who thinks the same way as you!

I agree with you, Marty...there's the matter of my husband..
....who seems to think one adorable dog is enough Actually, the way he put it was a bit stronger: if I ever go to the shelter and adopt another dog, we'll both be looking for a new home to adopt us! The deal is that I won't go looking, but if we find another animal in need, we'll do what we can to help and possibly end up with another dog, or cat.

I just thought I would throw the idea out...in case...
I do understand...I never thought I would have multiple dogs...and I remember what you said about Hubby. It is a huge responsiblity to care for each one of them properly. Guess that is why I want to find Joe's owners so much...we have 3 dogs, and I feel that is the limit, financially anyway. I hope you weren't offended by my post...

Oh no, I wasn't offended at all! If I had my own way...
...I think Joe might be a good addition, and a good buddy for Mr. Blue. However, I do understand my hubby's point of view, and have to respect it - married life CAN involve a lot of compromise, can't it?

And Mary- you are right and lucky...after all, a great hubby like yours is better than another pup!
