There are alot of different testimonials all over the web at this point, from people who have lost their kitties to websites offering info. Alot could depend on how much the animal has eaten, how much of "the alleged contaminant" was put in the food. I've read it could take just one pouch of something. All in all, it should appear rather soon.
Symptoms would include excessive thirst, dehydration, lethargy and vomiting, as well as possible foul breath. Please look at Nadi'a Feline CRF under Favorites on the left side of this board for further info.
Unfortuately, when the symptoms begin to show the kidneys are already in serious danger, so please keep an close eye on your kitty. Maybe in a week's time, even without symptoms you may want to take her back for blood work which should tell you where things stand. I hope your kitty is spared this nightmare.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

CAll another vet and get seen asap atleast have a complete blood test done to check to see if levels are normal. I for the life of me can not remember if kidney/liver is on that test but please get another vet to check him out. They might want to do testing now then again in a couple of weeks to keep monitoring the situation. Call another vet and ask to speak to the vet BEFORE you go there so you dont waste your time. Tell them the situation (calmly, you get more information and more respect wehn they think you know what you are tlaking about and you dont sound like you have completely lost it). Tell them that your vet blew you off and you would like to speak with the vet there before coming in to see what they might do for you because you dont want to waste their time or your time and money. If they dont call back or put vet on then move on to another.
