I just got this in email-
Hello,
I'm seeking medical advice to help aleveate my cat's infection of rodent ulcer. Thus far I can not find the answers as to what solution would be the best for him and cheapest for me.
Please help.
Now correct me if I am wrong, but rodent ulcers are quite serious for cats are they not? I have never had to deal with them, but I have heard about them, and I hate this when people do this type of thing! Cats are a responsibility and not everyone sees that as being of a financial nature! I just got another one about a 9 week old kitten, falling over, shaking her head and she has runny eyes- yep you guessed it, the person who accepted this kitten can't "afford" to make her better........sigh....and damn!
It's one of those days when I want to shake people!

Why is this person not speaking to her VET? I am assuming kitty has been properly diagnosed, but there is no home treatment, nor cheap treatment for EGC (eosinophilic granuloma complex). She also needs to be aware of exactly what type this is and needs to be following her vet's explicit instructions.
If immune-related, and on corticosteroid treatment, it's imperative she follow her vet's instructions and followup on bloodwork re-evaluations to monitor the medications' effects.
I'm not even going to touch this one, we have no information, no history, no age, no vet's comments, etc. If she wants to provide that info, then I'd be more than happy to help, but not until (we) know the whole story.
