Funny things our pets do!
I've got a couple of videos of Izzy being ridiculous; she likes to get herself "stuck" in things and wrestle her way out. Here's one video of her winning a fight with a blanket.
As for other things... she's got two habits that never fail to crack me up. The first one: She'll sit in front of the patio door watching birds or squirrels or whatever is playing out there. She'll talk to them, watch them intently. But then all of a sudden she'll puff up her tail, stand up on her two back legs, and take three or four running steps ON HER BACK LEGS across the living room. I wish I could get video of this because it's THE funniest thing I've ever seen one of my pets do. She'll then run under the dining room table, sit there for a minute, then walk back out as if nothing happened.
The second one: I just noticed today that she does this, and I think I laughed for ten minutes. In our bathroom, there's a space under the counter where there are no cabinets, and that's where her litterbox is. It gives her privacy without being stuffy like a litterbox hood. I normally pay her no attention when she's in there because, hey, I don't like it when she watches me in the bathroom. But today I heard her fussing around in there while I was getting ready, so I looked down. She was standing on the tip-toes of her back legs, one paw bracing against the wall, head turned around, watching herself go to the bathroom, like she was fascinated with what was happening! I just about died laughing!
What do your pets do that makes you laugh? I'm sure I'll have more stories to share as they happen, or as I remember them.

That was too cute...
Cricket the foster cat we had (who now resides with my daughter) use to nurse on herself. We use to crack up at her when she did that, it was so funny. She had one nipple that was bald where she was always latched on it. She doesn't do it very often anymore.
Willow has a funny way of moving when she plays. She jumps up after toys with her arms spread out and does this dance that I just love. But her "dork" position has to be the one that gets me most....in fact I just got a photo of her today in that position. Sometimes she has her leg straight up in the air when she sits like this...
Oops...she caught me!!

It wasn't this bad when I came home. She did most of the destruction while I sat here and watched. It's tough acrylic yarn, so I just let her go at it. Rolling it back up, however... lol... I'm thinking I may just put it in the trash. It's not worth fighting with it. Silly, silly cat.

This goofball never fails to come up with new tricks. I was just sitting on the couch watching some of the Olympics earlier and suddenly I feel fur all over my feet. She's never been a foot-nuzzler unless you were in the process of feeding her. But for a good half hour, she kept rubbing my feet, rolling all over them, licking them, chewing lightly on my toes... I was cracking up and she just kept at it. If I reached down to try and pet her she'd roll away. Put my hands back on my lap, and she'd go back at my feet. What a nutball.

Can we have more pics of Izzy, please? Another video? Pretty please?

Oh, probably, especially since you asked so nicely! I'll keep the camera next to me; next time she comes tearing through here I'll do my best to capture her antics.
This one makes me laugh; she was almost in a coma, she was so happy about getting brushed. This was from the spring when she was shedding real bad and was probably hot and itchy. The look on her face, I'm surprised she wasn't drooling. I have others where her head is lolled back and she looks like she passed out, but they're blurry.
And, of course, if I stopped, she'd come back for more. I didn't even have to do anything; just hold the brush in the air and she'd handle the rest.
And one more... kinda dark and grainy 'cause it was with my camera phone, but it's from around Christmas time when we were still living with my parents. I've got one furbaby on one side, one on the other.

Awwww, thank you! I just love her coloring, and those expressive green eyes! It looks like she's ready to pass out, LOL!

I opened a forum thread soon after it was posted; played its first video, looked at the rest of the thread, then played the little video again... realized there was s*o*m*e*t*h*i*n*g at my right shoulder: it was Q! He sat there staring at the computer screen... I played the video again, and he kept sitting there, staring intently... I thought oh gosh, the only camera I have is the Polaroid and it is out of film... I got up, pushed the desk chair away - Q never moved. I went to the living room, got the huge package of film, brought it back here, found scissors, opened the film pack, loaded the clumsy camera... Q stayed exactly where he was, staring across the intervening space between him and the laptop on its stand... must've been at least 10 minutes... at last I got a picture of him:
And this is what he was fascinated by:
You can't tell by my poor photography, but it was Izzy! Even when the blanket video wasn't playing, Q kept staring intently at the screen! Did he realize it was a kitty? Or was he just aware of a critter image? Who knows - first time he's ever done that with the computer (he used to watch bird videos on one TV set in our New Orleans home.) This was really strange - but true, I swear! [But then, you knew he is from the Continuum, right?]
