A woman whom I have known for many years, and is on my bowling team, informed us lastnight that she has made the very difficult decision to help her old dog cross over the Bridge...she will go Friday morning...
Marcia said that for the past year, the dog (I did not even think to ask her name, but I have e-mailed Marcia to ask her) has been in pain with arthiritis, and other challenges...she said the meds they put the dog on helped her tremendously with getting around, but affected her kidneys so they had to take her off of it...she has gotten steadily worse since then and the other night had to be carried into the house because she could not even get up the step into the back door
Marcia was sitting on the floor petting her when she let her bowels go and did not even make a move or realize she was doing so...
Soooo...Marcia spent the following day praying...deciding...and finally made an appointment for Friday...
She said it has been a difficult decision, but she knows she is doing the right thing and that she will be able to sleep peacefully Friday night knowing her dog is in a better place and in no more pain and suffering embarassing episodes...

I know how hard it is to do this and send a dog to better place when their body has given out, but their spirit hasn't.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that for your friend Tambrey. I can only imagine how it feels and it's especially close to home for me know with Frodo's condition not improving.
It's not an easy decision...both she and the dog are in my prayers
