amoxicillin ?

I have been giving my dog this antibiotic because she has cystitis. Since the vet put her on this she has poor apetite, most of the time. He wasn`t concerned. A friend says that happened to her dog. Is this typical?

How long has she been on amoxicillin? While somewhat rare, any pet can develop an allergic reaction to any medication, including antibiotics.

Did your vet do a urine culture to identify the specific bacteria in which to prescribe the appropriate antibiotic? Has he ruled out other causes to the anorexia?
