Animal testing

Post by JUDY S »

I have been feeding my cats Iams for their health for some time now, but I have to confess to feeling guilty about it. I have seen several sites online that detail the amount of animal testing that this company does. It also seems that many of the higher quality foods do the same. Does anyone out there know of a good quality food available that is against animal testing? We live in a small town with few choices, so I don't know what to do.

For future reference, please fully evaluate these "sites" and "sources", it's too easy to make up baseless information and deny the facts. Even worse, these people go on to propogate all the misinformation.

I don't believe everything I read, but one of the sites was Peta. I thought they should be reputable.

In a recent verified report, PETA euthanized most of the animals they took in because they felt it was better for the animal to be dead than a pet.

That's awful. What's wrong with some of the people in this world?

Judy, in their early years, PETA was considered a reputable org and had good intentions, however the organization has turned to a "cult-like" organization in which their priorities seem to be harrassment and terrorizing target people and buisinesses. At this point, it doesn't seem like they have the welfare of animals at heart at all. If they would go back to their grass-roots and weed out all the bad seeds in the organization, they could still do some valuable work, but as long as the org's execs support harassment and terror tactics, they aren't getting a good reputation for themselves.
